Meditation 3: Observing
In this meditation, we will focus on the concept of Observing, the practice of being the observer of your body rather than being “in” your body. This concept allows you to practice detaching, learning how to detach from the emotion of a situation so you can more easily make decisions and control your reactions.
We will use the tool “Body Scanning” in which you focus on individual parts of the body, practicing observing each part without attaching an emotion or opinion.
This is the longest meditation yet and definitely may take a few sessions to become comfortable. But each time you practice, you will find it easier to get back into the body scan if you find yourself distracted.
