Meditation 2: Square Breathing
In this meditation, we will focus on a simple breathing technique called Square or Box Breathing.
This technique has a few benefits:
1) Clearing Your Mind. The technique is specific so you will need to concentrate on the technique. This helps you calm your mind by giving you a specific task to focus on, taking the attention away from busy thoughts and emotions.
2) Better Breathing. This technique will actually help you strengthen your breathing muscles, increasing your lung capacity. This helps your nervous system and provides more energy for your body.
This is a short mediation but you will learn a valuable tool you can use at anytime to help you calm your mind and regain focus.
