A lifelong “mover”, Kurt enjoyed a first career on the professional stage as a dancer and actor. Aiming to recover from various injuries to maintain his active lifestyle, he came across the Pilates method and fell in love. This was his introduction to the world of fitness. Now, 15 years in, he is committed to helping clients and participants move with precision, purpose and joy using the sound principles of the Pilates method. As an entrepreneur, he developed MOVE! the anti-gym – a Pilates and fitness studio in New Jersey, and owned this for nine years. He chuckles realizing he was a “boutique” studio before boutiques even existed! He continues to teach and train Pilates today and loves adapting the latest findings in exercise science into the time-tested Pilates method. He has taught Les Mills programs for 14 years, and has been a trainer/presenter/video presenter for 10 of these years. He holds certifications from NASM in personal training, Precision Nutrition as a Level 1 coach, ACE, AFAA and Power Pilates (Apogee Fitness, NY).
